In association with Hindu Pre-University College, the Jnana Chethana Education Trust has begun its work.

The contribution of Shirva Hindu Pre-University College to the field of education is without parallel. The credit for shaping the complete personality of thousands of students belongs to this institution.

From this academic year, in association with the college, the Jnana Chethana Education Trust has been established as the academic management body. Its purpose is to give students at the Pre-University stage the complete development of their personality, to instil in them a modern and competitive spirit of knowledge, and to provide an education founded on values.

What the Trust stands for

A new educational institution established to give the highest quality Pre-University education to the talented students of Udupi district, and above all of the rural region around Shirva.
The character of an educational institution cannot be measured by bricks, timber and buildings alone. It is measured by the quality, the experience and the knowledge of the teachers and the students within it. Our first priority has therefore been skilled and experienced subject specialists. Lecturers with distinguished experience in Science and Commerce at the district level have already been appointed, and we have made an auspicious beginning.
To strengthen the learning ability of talented students from rural areas, special priority has been given to Science and Commerce. We take pride in informing you that dedicated subject expert lecturers have been appointed.
Another priority of the Trust is to give students the special training they need to face state and national entrance examinations with confidence, and to gain admission to higher and reputed institutions after PUC. For examinations such as NEET, JEE, KCET, CA Foundation and CSEET, the Trust has already prepared a programme of continuous training by subject specialists inside the college itself, for the convenience of rural students.
Along with academics, we have drawn up a plan to identify the many sided talents of students and to train them. An expansive playground, the platforms that support cultural programmes and the directors to guide them are ready. To face today's competitive world, marks alone are not enough. The complete growth of the personality is equally necessary, and that belief is a central part of the educational plan of the Trust.
